الممثل تشاك نوريس وبعدها عمل في مطعم لغسيل الصحون وحارس أمن في أحد الملاهى الليليه ومدرب بالساعه وبعدها عرض عليه دور شاب شاذ جنسيآ في فيلم موناكو للأبد ولحسن حظه يراه المخرج شيلدون ليتش وهو يداعب أحد أصدقاءه بالقفذ عاليآ وعمل الدم (BLOOD SPORT) وتوالت عليه الأفلام حتى أصبح أشهر ممثل أكشن في هوليود جان كلود فان دام تزوج خمس مرات ومعه كريستيفور الذى مثل معه فيلم دريلد(القطار)ومعه بنتان وإشتهر في
